Southern Maine Networking Group Empowering Local Business, For Free

– Southern Maine Successful Thinkers is a new, dynamic concept for individuals who want to be successful in every aspect of their lives. The organizers are a committed group of people determined to help one another thrive in business through the relationships formed through monthly networking events in Southern Maine.

The goal of the group is to strengthen business within local communities in the area and Southern Maine in general.

Monthly networking events enable participants to fully experience and implement a well-rounded approach to promoting their business by creating an interactive environment where people can experience success for themselves "in the field" rather than just learning about it.

Adrienne Wylder, who is the event coordinator for Southern Maine Successful Thinkers explains, "Lot's of people attend networking events and don't network at all. I frequently hear people talk about some type of event they attended and 'got nothing out of it'. I believe this happens, for the most part, because people simply don't understand how to network effectively."

She goes on the say, "What's unique about Southern Maine Successful Thinkers is that we educate attendees about the importance of relationship building and then give them an opportunity and platform to participate. It's not about handing out a bunch of business cards and expecting your phone to start ringing off the hook. We encourage people to really get to know about one another's businesses on a personal level and start thinking 'out of the box' in creative ways to do business together. We want to see our local business community working together in ways that could only happen through thoughtful relationships. This approach can be empowering."

There is also a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and/or services to attendees by renting vendor tables at these monthly events. Tables are offered at a very low cost and provide great exposure. They types of Businesses that could potentially benefit from this exposure seem endless. Past participants have included: mortgage brokers, real estate companies, start-ups, caterers, web design firms, musicians, photographers, banks, local Chambers of Commerce, public figures and many more. Each month the group sponsors a local non-profit from the community that is hosting the event. This month, there will be a raffle held to support the Church Community Outreach Services of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Arundel. This organization offers food, fuel and special needs assistance to needy families residing in this area.
