Press Advisory – Green Christmas Fair at CAT 4/5th December

– Christmas is a time of goodwill and celebration, yet every year we generate an estimated 3 million tonnes of waste through wrapping paper, cards, unwanted presents, bottles, packaging  and waste food.  The Centre for Alternative Technology Christmas fair will be an inspirational look at how we can enjoy the Christmas season without it costing the earth.  Join in one of the hands-on workshops and try making a gift for your loved one or browse the lively Christmas market with stalls stocking products made locally from sustainable materials. Kids activities will be running throughout the weekend and include activities such as building an eco-house, making eco presents and story telling. Enjoy a warming cup of mulled wine whilst listening to live music provided by talented local musicians.

Sylvie Fabre, visitors centre manager at CAT said " It is going to be fantastic weekend with something for everyone and a real celebration of what a green, ethical Christmas looks like!"

To celebrate there will be free entry to the Centre for Alternative Technology and a 10% discount in the on site shop.
