Author challenges every student across America to practice good manners for one week!

– Author issues "Bully" Challenge As National Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to an end. In October we also observed the YWCA's Week Without Violence, and we observed Freedom from Bullies week, as well as several other programs.

Now, Author, Janet Horton has published her latest book "Because, It's Just Good Manners!" and challenges every student across America to practice good manners for one week! To help, her book is being provided as a "free" download from her website: http://columbiacountypc.org/GoodManners.aspx.

Horton further challenges parents, businesses and the media to "bully" the schools into participating in this challenge. She also urges parents and businesses to participate as well. Horton states, we have become remiss in practicing good manners and common courtesies and she dares everyone to go back to basics.

In her public speaking Horton addresses bullying, violence and abuse in her "Bullying Asset Awareness and the "In" Syndrome" lectures which are available to students and parents.

Horton says she takes the topic of abuse, violence and bullying personal because she came from an abusive family and lived through violent and abusive relationships.
